Day 93 • The 28th of September

Not a single cloud in the entire sky this morning! It was clearer than I’ve ever seen it. My favorite photo ended up being exactly when the sun rose today, instead of the intense color variants that show up in the half hour before.

The artist in me (which… is most of me) looks for the metaphor in these situations. Does a clear sky mean a clean slate? Is something new and fresh on the horizon? Is it merely the promise and blessing of light that turns a mundane, scientific process into something so beautiful and poetic? Do I just write my own wishes and dreams onto each new sunrise?

Probably. And I see nothing wrong with that. This project has filled me with hope and enthusiasm in a way I never imagined possible. It’s taken on a life of its own. I’m just an eager participant in the sacred, healing arrival of the light. I let it wash over me and change me into a better person, a fresh start each new day, a new opportunity to be the person I want to be.
