Day 81 • The 16th of September

🌄 Day 81/365

I love listening to the sounds of people waking up all around me as I sit quietly on my lanai. Where are they going? Work? Big touristy plans for the day? Some people are clearly in a hurry, alone, setting out for their jobs. Others can’t help but squeal with delight as they make their way to their cars in the dark as the sky starts to brighten up. Some head to the beach with their dogs while it’s still dark. I sit quietly and observe it all — people and dogs and birds waking up, the constant chorus of roosters from all direction. One by one, lights all around me start to flick on and people begin their days. I feel honored to serve as witness to each new morning.
