🌄 Day 52/365
Everyone I’ve spoken to this week has had a similar reaction upon hearing the date as I do internally. In essence, “it’s almost September?! What?!” Granted, time has started to roll past differently than when I was a child, as it does to everybody, but I really think these last few years have warped our sense of time in a very real way, outside the regular aging process. The combination of dread and hope creates a bizarre need to both hunker down and move past this as fast as we can. There are understandable fears about the future but, as humans and our ancestors have done for millions of years, we continue moving forward. We can’t force time — slowing it down or speeding it up depending on our personal desires. Instead we must accept what cannot be changed and find a way to live through it.
In other words, life.
