Still in recovery mode from the last weekend/week/month/year/decade/life but today seemed like a good day to report that my mom is doing splendidly. She’s feeling good, eating real foods and keeping them all down (!) and even going to dinner with her friends. Last night she pointed out to the table that she didn’t have to excuse herself once and they all cheered. She’s enjoying getting her potassium intake through foods that she likes instead of the giant horse pills they were making her take. She was thrilled to be eating an apricot while I was on the phone with her last night. She said she feels like she has a new lease on life.
I am so happy for her. (And me! Maybe now I can rest a little easier.)
