🌄 Day 32/365
Good morning! Another beautiful purple gradient made itself the star today. It’s just a bit further along in the brightening process.
I think it’s important to note that A New Dawn, my year-long sunrise project, is not in itself a particularly original idea. Lots of people are taking sunrise photos in succession, sometimes as a yearly project exactly as I am doing, other times as their completely separate pursuit. One guy I found is on sunrise 1300something. Yowza. I will most certainly not be doing that.
The creativity and originality of this project is new to me — based on my life, my habits, my location, my own life lessons, and my own reflections. That is the art, I imagine for all of the sunrise photographers out there. The sun rises over all of us, all over the world. Spreading the idea of a new, bright phase in society after what we’ve been witnessing these last few years is balm for the soul. It should be available to everyone.
