🌄 Day 272/365
Well it’s a good thing I had an intense bout of insomnia last night because I was able to catch the very first light and it was the prettiest part of the entire sunrise process. I find that earlier is usually the best for color.
I don’t really think of it as insomnia though. It’s more like I was so fired up on inspiration that I didn’t want to stop. I’m starting an Art Therapy course for my Patrons on Patreon and I was suddenly overflowing with ideas and notes I wanted to get down. It seemed right to just roll with it. I got a lot of good, important work done and I’m really looking forward to creating this course, designed mostly for me and my own personal growth, but shared freely with my Patreon community. (Ask me how to get involved!) It answers questions I’ve had in the last few years about my place in the world as an artist and what I could contribute when I’m emotionally struggling through this new reality myself. It’s a weird world out there. But I know art can heal it, soothe it, push it forward. That’s what I’m seeking right now and I feel emboldened to share it. Couldn’t we all use a little art therapy? Imagine if world leaders took time to fully emotionally process what their inner worlds involve.
Anyway, I’m really excited about it.
