🌄 Day 266/365
Happy Monday to all of you. After looking at me like I’m nuts for the last half hour, Musashi is sweetly sleeping next to me again, believing at this point that I’ve stopped my unnecessary and annoying habit of getting up 17 times to check the sunrise (at least for the day.) He dutifully takes over the left side of the bed once Colin has gotten up for work. Maybe he’s keeping me company, or maybe he just doesn’t like to be crowded. He’s not an early riser either. This project has been an adjustment for all of us. I think he’ll be happy when I move on to a different artistic obsession a few months from now. I’ll miss the sunrise, but I won’t miss all the alarms every morning to make sure I don’t miss the sunrise. And good thing about the sun — it’ll be there, rising every day, without fail, whenever I choose to come back to it.
This sunrise was captured in Kihei, Maui at 6:29am on the 20th of March, 2023.
