I stayed up all night making art. At first I felt guilty, like I should be more responsible and save up my energy but then I realized — this is my job! Again. Creativity happens when it happens and unfortunately for me, that often happens in the dead of night. I just had to make a thing, to get it out of my system. I did finish it, but I know I’ll suffer later when I’m meant to be awake and lively. Pleased with my work though.
This sunrise took a lot of patience. It really didn’t want to break through the clouds. It’s so windy I’m surprised there were clouds at all. But finally, after planting myself on the ground of my patio and demanding to see some hot sunrise action, it finally appeared. Patience and waiting are so important (which is why I got it tattooed on my arm.) You can’t force beauty, whether you’re making art or waiting for the sunrise. It just happens.
