Last bar shift today! Tomorrow I morph back into my original form as an artist. It’s been a good week for art, a strong indication I am heading in the right direction. I will miss bartending, but I’m looking forward to returning to what I do best. And rest! I’m grateful for this little gap-year from art, a chance to clear my head and appreciate the 20 year career I’ve built, but it’s time to get back to the nitty gritty of creativity. Less beer, more paint. Thank you to everyone in Maui for your kindness and patience this past year, and inviting me into the bar ohana. I’ll still be around, just sitting at a bar now and then instead of standing behind it. So long to our own personal Cheers and hello to the rest of my life. 🙏
