🌄 Day 225/365
The sunrise has officially dropped below 7am! It’s all downhill from here until the sun is rising at about 530 each morning. I wouldn’t say I’m looking forward to that time, but I managed the first round. It’s hard to think in terms of summer yet. We might have passed the two year mark here in Maui but there are still ways we’re adjusting — like a couple weeks ago when we had all that rain and flooding, and I realized that I did not own remotely enough pants. I didn’t bring many! I didn’t think I’d acclimate so quickly! Sometimes we have to borrow Musashi’s big blanket off the couch to add on top of our own blanket in the bedroom. It gets chilly. I’ve woken up freezing before. Freezing with a rooster crowing loudly about ten feet away from our window. This place is so weird. I love it so much.
This sunrise was captured in Kihei, Maui at 6:59am on the 7th of February, 2023.
