🌄 Day 173/365
Well the rain didn’t last long! Today looks to be another day filled with sunshine and warmth. Maui is like a big hug. It comforts me no matter what it looks like outside (which is always stunning and beautiful.) It’s spoken of around here that if you come to Maui with good intentions and are meant to be here, the island (yes, the island) will embrace you and support you. It rises up to meet you. If you’re here without intention to honor and respect the island, or if you’re just passing through, it knows. The island (yes, the island!) won’t give you reason to stay. I don’t think it’s personal. I think different people are meant to be in different places, and Maui just helps that decision along. Personally I have experienced doors opening, a larger community growing around me, and a weird desire to help and give back to those here and the island itself. It’s turning me into a better person. That’s a pretty wonderful gift. Thank you, Maui. 🙏
