I’m at a place in this project where I’m just doing my best to maintain habits. I feel as if each sunrise passes so quickly and life passes so quickly, it’s hard to stop and notice it all. It hasn’t felt nearly as meditative, more like I’m going through the motions. This is okay, it doesn’t worry me. This project is about going the distance and I’m gonna feel lots of different ways about it before it’s done. I’m still not even at the halfway point! Steady now. There’s still a lot left to see and experience. Having done these year-long projects before, I know the subtle changes in commitment and interest as the project wears on. Nothing I haven’t faced before. Now is when I rely on muscle memory, which I’ve been building up since June. The wonder and magic comes and goes depending on the moment. Part of the exercise (and the art) of this project is to keep going even when it’s difficult.
