Just a regular sky. Or is it? Every day for my entire life led up to this sky. This morning, this moment. One decision after the next, beginning when I was a small child. Ways I was growing and changing that differed from someone else, from all someone else’s, choices in life that were only presented to me, as yours were only presented to you. Memories, conversations, chance encounters, fate, goals, plans, dreams. Each moment after the last, culminating in one small vantage point on one small balcony on this very morning. All my thoughts rolled into who I am today, which will be different than who I am tomorrow, under a new and different sky.
