🌄 Day 135/365
Oooh, I really like this color. The whales are slowly returning to the island and I’m starting to get that urge to go see them. Still few and far between at this point — whale season generally peaks in January or February. I’m not sure we’ve been to that part of the island since April or May, when they left. (Which is pretty funny — it’s a small island. I’m becoming one of those small town people that thinks 15 minutes down the road is a long drive. Am I really from California?) We don’t have traditional “seasons”, per se, but there is whale season, hurricane season, football season, shark breeding season, sea turtle nesting season, and the “busy” season (when tourists flock here in large droves.) The only thing missing is the traditional autumn colors, but I think we can all agree — there’s no shortage of color here.
