🌄 Day 128/365
Spent today’s sunrise in the holiest manner I can think of — talking to a friend who’s experiencing profound grief. It was a thin space like no other. The veil between worlds gets thinner and the impact of the moment is so much stronger. I was honored to experience it in such a manner, at such a time as this. I didn’t get as many photos, but the ones I got seemed truly apropos — devoid of color today, black and white and grey, the perfect mood for sadness and clean slates. Sometimes life is color and magic. Other times it’s dragging yourself into the next minute and hoping it’s somehow different than the last. Sadness is such a terrible and beautiful emotion. A spiritual intersection if there ever was one. We can’t avoid it in life — we just accept it for what it is and let it wash over us, morphing us into something else, something new. Our tears are like a baptism into the next phase of living (whether we welcome that change or not.)
