Day 44 • The 10th of August

🌄 Day 44/365 

Good morning! Gorgeous pinks today. No clouds, but a particularly lovely color gradient. It’s funny how this project, begun spontaneously, has taken over my world. It seemed like it would be easy (it’s not) and uplifting (it is!) But it’s spawning new ideas, new paintings, new products — It’s such a pretty art project. Can there even be an ugly sunrise? I’m just going with the flow on this and letting it become as nuanced a project as it wants. It’s my job to translate it, but A New Dawn, as an artistic practice, has become something bigger than me. I see more and more people posting their sky photos, and more people sending them to me privately. We’re craving a new day, a clean slate, a moment of magic as a society. Our global community is seeking that opportunity to experience color and beauty and the promise of a new life, each and every day. In this small way, I aim to give it to them.
