Holy forking shirtballs. To say this was a magical experience doesn’t cut it. It doesn’t incorporate the walk through the jungle, or the rain on our faces or the water splashing up against (and through!) the rocks. It doesn’t give you the feel of the wind and the ocean spray or my hair blowing around or the jagged lava rocks beneath our feet. My brain hasn’t even absorbed what we experienced to get one photo, that I then had to choose from the hundreds I took. I couldn’t stop. Everything was breathtaking.

In Hawaiian, "Hāna" means "craft" or "work". In Māori, (the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand) "Hāna" means to shine, glow, give out love or radiance. I wholeheartedly agree with both meanings.

Why write more when my brain will take weeks to process this? And there’s still tomorrow!
