Alright blue skies. Let’s do this! You’re supposed to be smiling at me. I can feel it. New horizons ahead. A new phase in life. I’ve been working on my art business for over a week, taking it off the shelf and polishing it up for a new beginning of sorts. A reemergence onto the (very changed and different) art scene. I’m already remembering how much easier it is to get things done when I have nothing else to focus on. Coming soon: new paintings! New rituals! New projects! New prints! But this time I can’t deny the world around me. Or rather, I won’t. I’m now surrounded by people who appreciate beauty, color, community, our planet and her natural resources, people who live different (but fuller) lives than most people I’ve known before. There was no room to expand or grow in California. I felt too suffocated and claustrophobic. Here the very sky is beckoning me to spread my wings and fly.
