This past weekend I was given a metal detector by a good friend and I’m super excited about it. Treasure hunting on the beach! How fun! It can even go underwater. I honestly can’t wait to try it. I’m primed for something like this. My grandpa and I used to stroll up and down the beach in central California looking for treasures, mostly rocks and shells, but he would have LOVED this. We would often talk about getting a metal detector. I am thrilled I get to now share it with Colin. It’ll give us new reason to stroll along the beach and get some sunshine. I’m excited to find cool random items that I wasn’t expecting, or maybe occasionally something of value. Most of it will be trash, which encourages another community contribution I’ve been meaning to get around to — picking up trash on the beach! What a wonderful gift!
